　　艾玛、梅尔B、梅尔C、维多利亚和杰瑞，她们组成的一支叫做“辣妹组合”的乐队风靡年轻人的世界。在经理人克里福德的指挥下，他们坐上一辆巴士四处在伦敦街头做宣传，不停地到各地赶场演出，然而在忙碌的生活过后，五人开始反省自己的生活态度。
　　虽然贵为明星，但是四人并没有自己的生活空间。他们的好友妮可拉分娩在即，作为孩子未来的教母，五位热情的女孩为此特别要求把皇家埃布尔厅的演出延期。但是这却遭到了他们经理人克里福德的反对。
　　一边是工作，一边是友谊，这让五个女孩非常苦恼。更危险的是，英国某著名报纸为了自己的一己私利，竟计划着制造辣妹们的负面新闻，想要把她们从成功的巅峰拉下来。本来辣妹们因为演唱会的事情就忙得焦头烂额，铺天盖地的负面新闻更让她们十分懊恼。但是她们没有想到的是，这些负面新闻并不是最致命的，他们正计划着如何阻止辣妹们的演唱会，让她们的歌迷们失望。经理人对于工作的严厉要求，让辣妹们倍感压力，和克里福德之间产生了很严重的矛盾。
　　辣妹们不得不听从克里福德的建议，乘着大巴车继续演出、拍照。但奇怪的事情也发生了，没想到辣妹们的声望连外星人都为之一振。在奔赴演出的路上，五人竟然遇到了外星粉丝，并向她们索要签名，这一事件让辣妹们震惊不已。接下来的工作更加辛苦，为了能够给演唱会的舞蹈加入新鲜的元素，辣妹们开始接受军事化的训练。工作的压力让辣妹们十分压抑，五个人开始反思自己生活的意义。最终她们决定要为自己而活。于是辣妹们来了一次集体大出逃，去看即将分娩的好友妮克拉。
　　妮克拉顺利生产，但是皇家埃布尔厅的演出也即将开始。辣妹们识破了报社的阴谋，为了不让歌迷们失望，维多利亚不得㊟㊟着超高的高跟鞋，临时充当司机，驾驶大巴带着伙伴们赶往演唱会现场。一路上险象环生，还上演了一幕公车飞跃的危险场面。最终辣妹们及时赶到了演唱会现场，粉碎了报社的不良企图。
