简　　介

　　故事发生在二十世纪年是年代的美国，乔伊（约翰·哈克斯 John Hawkes 饰）是一名在业内小有名气的音乐家。同时亦是一名身陷麻烦与困境之中的瘾君子。舞台上的乔伊自信而又热情，尽情挥洒着人格魅力，可是在舞台背面，乔伊放纵不羁随心所欲的生活却鲜少有人知道。
　　母亲去世之后，艾米（艾丽·范宁 Elle Fanning 饰）和父亲乔伊开始了相依为命的生活，父女两人没有固定的住所，而是住在酒店里，日日狂欢。艾米稚嫩的双眼见证了乔伊的荣光，见证了那些曾经和父亲同台演出的杰出的艺术家们私底下的模样，却也深深了解荣光和名誉背后的阴影。可即便如此，艾米却依然深深的相信和爱着乔伊。
