　　本来，赞克·吉布斯的最大愿望就是可以拥有一部属于自己的汽车。但是当他偶然间从他父亲那数不清的发明物中发现了一块奇怪的手表并且偷偷据为己有后，他的奇妙之旅从此便开始了。
　　 周围的世界在一种神秘力量作用下，时间变得好像静止了。所有人被定在了一个固定的时间里面。很快，赞克发现，原来秘密就来自这块手表，并且他很快就掌握了操纵的窍门。于是他与他的新朋友，聪明漂亮的弗朗西斯卡一起在静止的时空里感受这无拘无牵的快乐。
　　 但事情却并非那样简单。在这个只属于他们的空间里，似乎还有其它的神秘人物，在暗处悄悄地监视着他们…… 幕后
　　
　　 《时光骇客》一片从98年就开始筹划，最初的构想是拍一部题材类似于《飞天法宝》(Flubber)的拿科学发明开涮的轻喜剧，后来到了2000年，影片的重点转移到了时间的放慢与加速上，很显然这是“《骇客帝国》效应”的又一体现，不过这一次是热闹的青春喜剧版。
　　
　　 一部面向青少年的科幻喜剧。其实从故事的主题上来看，本片有深度挖掘的潜力。在生活节奏日益加快的现代社会中，人们最匮乏的元素就是时间，而能让时间静止，任你随心所欲地把握——这个构思还是相当具有吸引力的，可惜编剧和导演显然无意在影片的内涵上多下功夫，不过有《星舰迷航记》的演员和导演乔纳森·菲克斯坐镇，最起码该片的科幻视觉特效是值得期待的。
　　
　　 男主角的扮演者杰西·布兰弗德是好莱坞的年轻新秀，22岁的他已经从影多年，曾分别在1984年的《坠入爱河》(Falling in Love)和1990年的《推定无罪》(Presumed Innocent)里“做”过罗伯特·德尼罗和哈里森·福特两位大影星的儿子。在《罗米欧与朱丽叶》、青春卖座片《魅力四射》等片中你都能欣赏到他的精彩演绎。
