简　　介

　　18世纪初，在喀尔巴阡山脉东边的原始丛林腹地，古老而闭塞的村庄，妙龄少女在夜晚惨遭杀害。恶魔的气息弥漫森林四处，被诅咒的土地上，邪灵降临，为当地人带来最为恐怖的噩梦。与此同时，年轻孟浪的英国科学家和制图家乔纳森·格林（杰森·弗莱明 Jason Flemyng 饰）和富家小姐的恋情被对方父亲发觉，遭到怒骂和驱逐的乔纳森带着对女孩的眷恋踏上东去的旅途，期间他迷失了道路，稀里糊涂来到了那座被诅咒的村庄。他从当地人那里听说了关于撒旦、女巫的传说，但是这位牛顿的学生对超自然现象抱有深深的怀疑。
