◎简　　介

　　本片根据美国小说家托马斯·科布（Thomas Cobb）的同名小说改编。拜德·布雷克（杰夫·布里吉斯 Jeff Bridges 饰）是一名酗酒成性的落魄蓝调乡村歌手，在新墨西哥州州府圣菲市表演时，认识了圣菲报的记者琴（玛吉·吉伦哈尔 Maggie Gyllenhaal 饰）。濒临破产的拜德赶往凤凰城为自己的旧时学生，新晋乡村红歌星汤米·斯威特（科林·法瑞尔 Colin Farrell 饰）的演唱会开场。演唱会后在从凤凰城到圣菲市的路上拜德出车祸，在琴家养伤，二人情愫渐生。拜德重新开始写歌，并向多年好友韦恩（罗伯特·杜瓦尔 Robert Duvall 饰）倾诉心声，一切似乎都在向着好的方向进行。但在琴携四岁的儿子来休斯顿探访拜德的过程中，一件意外却让拜德真正意识到自己的人生路在何方……
