　　小镇上来了一位电影明星，巧的是，他不是别人，正是戴夫的童年玩伴艾洛德（彼得·萨斯加德 Peter Sarsgaard 饰）。一次酒后，艾洛德吐露了一个惊人的秘密，而这个秘密竟然和戴夫几十年前调查的一宗案件有关。渐渐的，戴夫发现自己和家人似乎被卷入了某个阴谋之中，真相究竟是什么？凶手又藏在何处？恪尽职守的戴夫决定追查到底。
