简　　介

　　对于神秘的印度，出生在澳大利亚的女孩露丝（凯特·温丝莱特 Kate Winslet 饰）一直心驰神往，一次激动人心的印度之旅后，露丝不惜违背父母的意愿滞留在此地以完成自己长久以来的梦想。为了心爱的女儿能够回到身边，露丝的父母雇佣了一个名叫沃特斯（哈威·凯特尔 Harvey Keitel 饰）的男子，让他以精神辅导师的身份接近露丝，以达到劝说她回家的目的。
　　在隐秘的小屋里，露丝和沃特斯开始了为期三天的心灵疗程，而在这三天里，两人的心灵之间发生了难以用语言叙述的激烈碰撞，随之产生了奇妙的化学反应。在抗拒与顺从之间，在欲望和克制之中，情感渐渐失控的两人能够为心灵找到最终的归宿吗？
