简　　介

　　1988年にOVA化、2004年と2007年に映画化した士郎正宗『アップルシード』の新アニメシリーズ『アップルシードXIII』が2011年春から展開される。
　　物語は、これまでの映画2作の続編ではなく、全13話のまったく新しいシリーズとして制作される。第五次世界大戦後の人工都市オリュンポスを舞台に、特殊部隊ES.W.A.T.に所属する女性隊員デュナン、戦闘サイボーグのブリアレオスの活躍が描かれるが、映画版とは一味違うデュナンとブリアレオスの関係性も見どころとなる。
