　　容易焦虑的单亲妈妈玛姬（莎拉洁西卡派克 饰），为了跟正值青春期的女儿夏娜（罗希黛 饰）重建-母女关系，决定带女儿到她年轻时常去的义大利托斯卡尼，享受母女两人的散心之旅。玛姬-万万没想到，@泡饭影视竟在当地巧遇她的帅气初恋男友路卡（雷欧波瓦 饰）。充满异国性感魅力并-且单身的路卡，与玛姬重新燃起爱的火花，不过事情发展却出乎意料之外──夏娜太想念她-在纽约的男友，加上路卡他80岁的母亲卡门（克劳蒂亚卡定尼尔 饰），正在秘密策划一-场罗马婚礼，于是夏娜与卡门偷走路卡的车前进罗马，也让玛姬跟路卡不得不在后头追赶两-人，为这趟公路之旅再掀波澜。
