简　　介

　　这是一个美国再普通不外的小镇。镇上居民露薇（多莉-帕顿Dolly Parton饰）开了一间美容沙龙，和五个顾客女子出格要好，美容沙龙就成为她们嬉笑怒骂家长里短的场所。虽然性情各异，但六个好友聚在一路，时光总是风趣而又温馨。
谢比尔（朱莉娅·罗伯茨 Julia Roberts饰）就是其中一个死党。她得了糖尿病，是以母亲再三劝说她不能生孩子。谢比尔却决然决议要怀孕生育。她凭着顽强的信心，让孩子顺遂诞生，自己却衰竭倒下。母亲承受着白头人送黑头人之痛，谢比尔生前的好友成为了此时现在的强心针。她们配合度过哀痛的光阴，一路乞求雨过晴和的到临，谢比尔的生命在她们心中一向延续着。
