　　1994年10月的一天，男子哈兰·迪赫（Luke Bonczyk 饰）残忍杀害家人，只有一名婴儿幸免于难，该事件在当地引发不小的轰动。15年后，高中生朱利安·米勒（约翰尼·派克 Johnny Pacar 饰）计划拍一部恐怖片，他找来女友赖莉（艾比尔·切得尔斯 Ambyr Childers 饰）以及布兰娜（Alessandra Torresani 饰）、蒂蒂（Jennifer Missoni 饰）、内特（Jonathan Keltz 饰）等朋友帮忙出演角色。此外，他还拜托在TV工作室任职的朋友奎恩（托比·海明威 Toby Hemingway 饰）寻找当年的新闻影像资料。奎恩找到资料录影带，但是在观看之后他的性情大变。
