　　布洛克（哈里森·福特 Harrison Ford 饰）是一名经验丰富精明强干的警察，他和妻子佩顿（苏珊娜·汤姆森 Susanna Thompson 饰）结婚多年，感情一直十分稳定。然而布洛克并不知道的是，佩顿和女国会议员凯（克里斯汀·斯科特·托马斯 Kristin Scott Thomas 饰）的丈夫库伦（彼德·考约特 Peter Coyote 饰）有着一段不伦的私情，直到他们搭乘的飞机坠毁双双遇难之后，布洛克才知道妻子的不忠。
