　　【非洲雄狮】（The African Lion）是迪斯尼于1955年所发行的一部纪录长片，是属于『真实世界历险记』（True-Life Adventures）一系列纪录片的其中一支，是迪斯尼此一系列的第三部长篇纪录片电影。
　　
　　继1953年【沙漠奇观】（The Living Desert）、1954年【原野奇观】（The VanishingPrairie）获得大成功之后，迪斯尼继续推出『真实世界历险记』系列长篇纪录片。在【非洲雄狮】当中则是来到了非洲大草原上，迪斯尼的拍摄小队共花了三年的时间，在非洲大草原上观察与拍摄狮子们的生态习性，在此之前，从来没有人如此接近这群野生的猛兽，迪斯尼工作人员投注下的时间和精力，实在令人佩服。
　　
　　本片依然是由『真实世界历险记』一直以来的导演James Algar所执导，也是由Winston Hibler担任旁白，由Paul J. ㊟㊟ith担任配乐，跟之前两部『真实世界历险记』的长篇电影都一样。也跟之前两片一样的，本片也拿下了当年柏林影展的最佳纪录长片奖。
　　
　　【非洲雄狮】这部迪斯尼长篇纪录片在台湾目前并没有上市贩售，但本片已经曾于台湾的迪士尼频道上播映过，本片在台湾还曾经有看过另一中文的译名－【猛兽】。
