简　　介

　　山姆（沃尔特·休斯顿 Walter Huston 饰）虽然有钱但过得并不快乐，他和妻子芙兰（鲁斯·查特顿 Ruth Chatterton 饰）之间的感情并不融洽，芙兰向往充满了㊟㊟的生活，为了满足妻子的要求，山姆带着芙兰踏上了前往欧洲的旅途。在途中，芙兰邂逅了一名英俊的男爵，为了和男爵在一起，她无情的抛弃了山姆。
　　伤心欲绝的山姆流浪在异国他乡，偶然之中邂逅了名为伊迪斯（玛丽·阿斯特 Mary Astor 饰）的寡妇。伊迪斯的善良和开朗深深的吸引着山姆，两人之间迸发出了无疑伦比的㊟㊟，可是，就在山姆想要和伊迪斯私定终身之时，被男爵抛弃的芙兰回到了他的身边。
