   CHANGING THE GAME documents the World Cup's inaugural Football for Hope Festival through the journey of three representative teams: the Peace Team uniting Israeli and Palestinian teens, Team USA combating gang violence, and Team South Africa fighting a ravaging AIDS epidemic. Separated by language, culture, and thousands of miles, these teens are bound by their love of soccer and their goal for a better future. At home and throughout the festival, the sport becomes a metaphor to fight life's battles: emphasizing the spirit of teamwork over rivalry, communication over confrontation, fair play and sport㊟㊟anship over victory at any cost. But under the intense spotlight of international competition, the drive to win threatens these ideals, and the metaphor begins to fall apart.
